About the Program
The Financial Assistance for College Education (FACE) program is Help The Blind Foundation’s flagship scholarship initiative designed to support students with visual impairment in pursuing higher education.
FACE addresses one of the most critical barriers faced by visually impaired students from economically vulnerable backgrounds — the inability to meet recurring college-related expenses, which often leads to discontinuation of studies.
What the FACE Program Supports
Through FACE, we provide annual financial assistance to eligible students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate programs at recognised colleges and universities across India.
The assistance is structured as follows:
- ₹30,000 per year for students residing in college run hostels
- ₹12,000 per year for day scholars
This support helps students meet essential expenses such as tuition-related costs, hostel and living expenses, study materials, and other academic needs, allowing them to focus on learning without constant financial stress.
While financial assistance plays a crucial role in enabling access to education, we recognise that some students may require support beyond scholarships to realise their full potential. For students who demonstrate strong academic promise, professional aspirations, or specific talent areas, we offer pathways into additional programs that provide deeper, long-term engagement.
